After a beautiful family day on the beach I owed it to the beautiful landscape to try to capture it (and the memories it encloses) in my own way. [A.R.]

This as well as the last post are an experiment of mine with "contour painting".

Innocent kids are the definition of pure and cleanse, therefore appealing as pure and clean love. Its the Souls, of everyone of us pure enough, it speaks to, the souls who seek endlessly for a grip to such a source of love. [A.R.]

Beauty in distress, attracts the strangest "animals"; the beautiful should always be wary in their expressions of such... [I.R.S.]

Olives in a bowl 60x30cm

Olives, as well as olive trees represent in Greece the affluence the Maker parts with. This "sacred" tree lives virtually forever doesn't need much water or rich soil  and is able to bear long, hard winters and even deadly fires. It is not for no reason that the olive branch is since before the old testament considered bearer of hope. Hope is often all it takes to overcome seemingly impossible tasks, hope and the will to keep on fighting like there isn't an end. Although we believe to be witnessing lots of endings in our lives the only real and final ending comes the moment we decide to give up, that is the moment where all the divine potential, all the divine fire from within dies away like the flame of a candle dies by the cold breath of the wind. As a little girl I always admired the beautiful "medieval" dresses on the headless mannequins, I sometimes even thought that they look more beautiful on them than on real people! [A.R.]
