gaidouraki 30x40cm
The donkey is an animal of habit, new ways, new roads, new things aren't becoming for your average donkey. When something new comes its way, it will put the feet down and nothing can move it from its place. So it is the fear of the new, the fear of the different that drives (or in this case stops) the donkey. Did you ever stop to notice how many donkeys walk among us? Many of them on two feet... Athens city lights 30x24cm
Big Sur 24x18cm
After painting "on the road 24x18cm" & "on the road again 24x18cm" the time we were in Monterey (California) was all I could think of (Hey, Stephanie). While there one of our favorite pastime activities was to drive southwards the 'Highway 1' to Big Sur. Along the road walked by Jack Kerouac, and used as the title for one of his books. [A.R.]

on the road again 24x18cm
Well, I'm so tired of crying
But I'm out on the road again
I ain't got no woman
Just to call my special friend
You know the first time I traveled
Out in the rain and snow
I didn't have no payroll
Not even no place to go
And my dear mother left me
When I was quite young
She said, "Lord, have mercy
On my wicked son."
Take a hint from me, mama
Please don't you cry no more
'Cause it's soon one morning
Down the road I'm going
But I ain't going down
That long old lonesome road
All by myself
I can't carry you, baby
Gonna carry somebody else

looking out the window 70x60cm
Yeah I'm lookin' out the window, I'm lookin' at you
Well I'm dreamin' all the sweet dreams and the memories of the past
Feel so fine honey, thats why our love should last
Feel so good baby and it's all because of you
I've gotta love ya, I need to love ya, I want to love ya so nice
We're havin' all the time to ourselves
Yeah we're havin' all the fun to ourselves
Lord I'm pickin' up the pieces off the shelf
Won't take long baby 'cause there's hardly any left
Feel so good baby but it's all because of you

the armchair 30x40cm
the armchair was missing, now together with the couch, I got a set... [A.R.]
Armchair theorizing, armchair philosophizing, or armchair scholarship is an approach to providing new developments in a field that does not involve the collection of new information but, rather, a careful analysis or synthesis of existent scholarship.[1] Depending on context, the armchair approach may be considered deficient or unproductive. For example, anthropologists typically consider ethnographic fieldwork to be a necessary part of anthropological research and consider the armchair approach to be antiquated.[2] [Wikipedia]
