hanging from a string 24x30cm

A lemon hanging from a string, like...
sunshine in a bowl, or...
in a cup!(?)
... but would you drink the sunshine or would it be too strong? ... would it even taste good?
...
Sunshine in a cup, like...
a lemon hanging from a string...
let it shine through and enlighten us...
let the forms flow and the feelings materialize...
...
If light & bright is... a lemon...
what would the materialization of love look like?
A juicy... red apple maybe?
And what about dark... ?
could it materialize into a ... rock, ... one easy to be thrown far away?
... and on this string (with or without the lemon) of thought...
is size and shape limiting, or does it bring everything closer?
Is it better to just feel the light, the love...
or to actually be able to drink a sip from it, to take a bite and chew on it, content...
...
Of course the dreams we have they are of the fabric woven by light and shadow, but...
some of us need them to materialize...
and even into a fruit... is ok...

citrus from heaven 60x50cm

Citruses are low trees, whose leaves do not fall (evergreen) and thrive in tropical or sub-tropic and temperate countries (Greece). Their fruits are competing, which one reflects better the golden light, which one represents better  the sun-god, the great Apollo the god of beauty. These golden-colored fruits are the realization of light and art (beauty). Art comes into being through that light. [I.R.S.]

the yellow door 35x35cm

I think doors are strange, you never know what awaits you on the other side, if anything. I also find that doors have something in common with wild flowers, their coloring!

A bright colored door catches the eye like a bright colored flower, but is it just inviting, or is it a trap? The only way to find out is to try it out... will it be worth the risk?

A soft colored door is inconspicuous, is it trying to hide (itself and its content) or is it just humble?

Do black doors hide evil or are they just frightened of it and yearn for the cover of the night?

One could of course argue that doors are just doors, but where would be the fun in that! I prefer thinking that consciously or subconsciously, the person choosing the color did it for a reason... [I.R.S.]

daybed 30x40cm

Daybeds are used as beds as well as for lounging, reclining and seating in common rooms. Their frames can be made out of wood, metal or a combination of wood and metal.[1]They are a cross between chaise longue, couch and a bed. [Wikipedia]

white rabbit 24x30cm

The rabbit is a strange animal, varying from Bugs Bunny to the "Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!" [Lewis Carroll] rabbit of Alice in wonderland, yet it always comes out somehow cute. Bunnies, rabbits, although not hero material belong to the favorites of my kids... [A.R.]

gaidouraki 30x40cm

The donkey is an animal of habit, new ways, new roads, new things aren't becoming for your average donkey. When something new comes its way, it will put the feet down and nothing can move it from its place. So it is the fear of the new, the fear of the different that drives (or in this case stops) the donkey. Did you ever stop to notice how many donkeys walk among us? Many of them on two feet... the armchair 30x40cm

the armchair was missing, now together with the couch, I got a set... [A.R.]

Armchair theorizing, armchair philosophizing, or armchair scholarship is an approach to providing new developments in a field that does not involve the collection of new information but, rather, a careful analysis or synthesis of existent scholarship.[1] Depending on context, the armchair approach may be considered deficient or unproductive. For example, anthropologists typically consider ethnographic fieldwork to be a necessary part of anthropological research and consider the armchair approach to be antiquated.[2] [Wikipedia]

the couch 40x30cm

although usually not comfortable, I just love the looks of these antique looking couches... [A.R.]

The term 'couch' is used in North America, Australia, New Zealand, whilst the term 'sofa' is generally used in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The word originated in Middle English from the Old French noun couche, which derived from the verb meaning 'to lie down'.[4] It originally denoted an item of furniture for lying or sleeping on, somewhat like a chaise longue, but now refers to sofas in general. Olives in a bowl 60x30cm

Olives, as well as olive trees represent in Greece the affluence the Maker parts with. This "sacred" tree lives virtually forever doesn't need much water or rich soil  and is able to bear long, hard winters and even deadly fires. It is not for no reason that the olive branch is since before the old testament considered bearer of hope. Hope is often all it takes to overcome seemingly impossible tasks, hope and the will to keep on fighting like there isn't an end. Although we believe to be witnessing lots of endings in our lives the only real and final ending comes the moment we decide to give up, that is the moment where all the divine potential, all the divine fire from within dies away like the flame of a candle dies by the cold breath of the wind.
